One Moringa Success Story from Adanawa, Cameroon
I am MOHAMADOU HAFIZOU. I am a Cameroonian. I live in the region of Adamawa, Mbere Division.
I have been interested in moringa since 5 years ago. I discovered this miraculous plant through the videos on YouTube. Given all the benefits of this plant in terms of health and even economic, I decided to start cultivating this plant. By the grace of God we are having some success.
Overcoming Difficulties
At the moment we have formed a group of people with whom we work. We have overcome many difficulties including the problem of funding, cooperation and also lack of confidence by some people.
The first difficulty was to convince my father to trust me with funding. For the moment we have two farms; one at the extreme North, a few kilometers from Maroua and the other at Adamaoua in the Mbere division. On the first farm, we have started to harvest the seeds as well as the leaves. And we can even supply up to two tons of seeds and even leaves too.
Moving Ahead
We are not doing the transformation yet. We have not yet given a name to our company since we are in an early phase. I had a meeting recently with Mr Joshua Haruna who is the President of AFRICA MORINGA HUB in Ngaoundere Cameroon during the CINE TINGUELIN Festival and it gave me a lot of courage and confidence in the moringa. I really like the work he is doing to promote moringa in Africa and beyond.
My vision on the moringa remained and I am determined. For the first time I intend to increase my production and industrialize my moringa farms for the well-being of all, that is to say for all humanity and animals.
Thank you to all who believe in moringa.
