(by Marethabile Leqheka, South Africa) My name is Marethabile Leqheka, raised by the most beautifully soul-gifted man and woman. I descend from the peaceful village of Pitseng. I would spend my young days with playing freely with my 5 brothers and sisters, without a care in the world. My powerful and determined parents taught us the strict rules of survival, love and happiness at a tender age. We would draw water from the springs, wash our tons of laundry at the river to turn and soak in the same river cooling off our young carefree bodies and day-by-day scars. Papua New Guinea, in the southwestern Pacific, encompasses the eastern half of New Guinea and its offshore islands.
A country of immense cultural and biological diversity, it’s known for its beaches and coral reefs. Inland are active volcanoes, granite Mt. Wilhelm, dense rainforest and hiking routes like the Kokoda Trail. There are also traditional tribal villages, many with their own languages
Today we meet Retired Rev Hoge Rabura who resides in Port Moresby on the Island. He has a strong relationship with Africa Moringa Hub because of his love for and desire to learn more about moringa.
Since he started, he has wonderful stories to tell about the impact Moringa has had among the island people. Their moringa social enterprise is called Romote Moringa Products, and their principles are care, love and skills in the soil to teach about life.
We were delighted to have David share with us from his 20 years of research and knowledge in working with trees.
He has made some amazing discoveries that many people, including scientists, don’t know when it comes to planting and growing trees. Please listen and discover some new things.
Today we finish our Celebrate Moringa with Hemant in Nepal – a true Moringa spokesperson.
May we all catch his enthusiasm and learn something from Hemant. We thank you, Hemant, for being a real champion in Moringa awareness.
Hemant has been working hard with moringa in Nepal. He believes that everyone should know about the many health benefits of moringa, and that everyone should be growing and using it.
He has not hesitated in sharing moringa knowledge with government authorities and has received national and international awards for his moringa campaigns.
Please enjoy his story.
