Celebrate Moringa – Day 16

Let us celebrate moringa in Uganda. Did you know that moringa was first introduced by the government in Uganda in the late 1990s and early 2000s?

Yes! Back then many farmers got excited about this new and promising cash crop. However, Moringa didn’t bring them the return they were expecting, so most of the farmers rejected moringa, believing it was useless.

However, we thank God that some farmers and entrepreneurs caught the vision. Today we meet one of them, Levi Wakisi, the founder of the Face of Moringa Uganda.

Watch the video to hear his story. The transcript of the video is below.

“Imagine if everyone were using moringa!”

Moringa Enterprise Emerges in the Lowest Part on Earth (Jordan Valley Dead Sea Area)

Celebrate Moringa – Day 14

The project proved to be successful in that it provided job opportunities for the local community, and they, in turn, contributed to the whole production chain. Today they sell a wonderful range of Moringa products.

Enjoy their story, and if you want to contact them their details are at the bottom of this article.

Moringa is Changing Lives in Papua New Guinea

Celebrate Moringa – Day 12

Papua New Guinea, in the southwestern Pacific, encompasses the eastern half of New Guinea and its offshore islands.

A country of immense cultural and biological diversity, it’s known for its beaches and coral reefs. Inland are active volcanoes, granite Mt. Wilhelm, dense rainforest and hiking routes like the Kokoda Trail. There are also traditional tribal villages, many with their own languages

Today we meet Retired Rev Hoge Rabura who resides in Port Moresby on the Island. He has a strong relationship with Africa Moringa Hub because of his love for and desire to learn more about moringa.

Since he started, he has wonderful stories to tell about the impact Moringa has had among the island people. Their moringa social enterprise is called Romote Moringa Products, and their principles are care, love and skills in the soil to teach about life.

“Get Papua New Guinea to know and feel Moringa.”
