Today we chatted to Barry Murphy from his moringa nursery in Florida, USA, where he has been focusing on moringa growing and promoting awareness for the past 2 years. The nursery supplies moringa plants to locals to grow on their properties or in their yards. They have formed a cooperative where the leaves are harvested and processed, and given back to the community. Barry has published a Free Moringa Manuel Ebook which has helped create a lot of awareness and knowledge. We will provide the link for you to download. Next we chatted with Nkole Chanda from Zambia. Empowering Women through Moringa – Noriah from Malawi and Sakale from Mali

On Sunday, 22 Nov on Zoom, Mariana chatted with 2 ladies who run moringa projects which are empowering women in Africa. Firstly we have Noriah Tada Katunģwe from Malawi, whom we caught while she was driving. She shares about the social enterprise that she heads called “Living Green Ventures”, which has a business arm called “Nutri Products”. Later in the video, Sakale Sakale Traore from Mali joins us and shares about their enterprise called Mamali Moringa. They are producing moringa products including tea and Moringa leaf powder.

Let’s go to Kenya. We meet Mary Mwangi the CEO of AgriNutrition Enterprise, a social enterprise that works with rural communities to promote Moringa and its products.

This month we celebrate their signature Moringa product, Premium Gold Face and Body Cream. The number one ingredient is organic Moringa Oil, which is processed at their own facility from their own moringa seeds grown from their own farms in Kenya.

Congratulations and best wishes on your appointment to our cherished non-profit organization, Jeanette Dickson, the recently appointed President of Africa Moringa Hub. After doing some online research about moringa and the best group to join, I found the Moringa Connection Facebook group, which helped me meet Jeanette, the group’s founder. In September 2015, Jeanette appointed me as group administrator, and we have been working on moringa ever since. With a combined 15 years of moringa expertise, Jeanette is one of the founders of Africa Moringa Hub and has held positions as director, secretary, graphic designer, IT administrator for the website, and currently president.
