We were delighted to have David share with us from his 20 years of research and knowledge in working with trees.
He has made some amazing discoveries that many people, including scientists, don’t know when it comes to planting and growing trees. Please listen and discover some new things.
We begin 2022 with another Moringa story from Jordon, but this time it is a different species – Moringa peregrina.
Please meet Dr Nasab Qasim Alrawashdeh who is a Plant Genetic Resources Specialist and Plant Biodiversity, and has done extensive research into Moringa peregrina, a plant that thrives in hot desert regions.
Her research has led her to write various scientific paper, with a number having been published.
Much of her early knowledge comes the Beduin people (Indigenous people of southwest Jordan Wadi Fenan), who have been using Moringa peregrina for centuries.
We are so delighted that she has been willing to share her knowledge with us. Mariana Price interviews her in the videos below. The first video is just in English and the second has Arabic subtitles.
Papua New Guinea, in the southwestern Pacific, encompasses the eastern half of New Guinea and its offshore islands.
A country of immense cultural and biological diversity, it’s known for its beaches and coral reefs. Inland are active volcanoes, granite Mt. Wilhelm, dense rainforest and hiking routes like the Kokoda Trail. There are also traditional tribal villages, many with their own languages
Today we meet Retired Rev Hoge Rabura who resides in Port Moresby on the Island. He has a strong relationship with Africa Moringa Hub because of his love for and desire to learn more about moringa.
Since he started, he has wonderful stories to tell about the impact Moringa has had among the island people. Their moringa social enterprise is called Romote Moringa Products, and their principles are care, love and skills in the soil to teach about life.
Today we meet an innovative Moringa businessman, Yudas Savye Lugenza, who runs 2 successful operations in Tanzania.
His experience as an Agribusiness Specialist has been most valuable to his moringa farming, with increased yields of up to 56%.
This in turn has helped him harvest more moringa seed and produce more moringa oil, which he exports internationally.
Enjoy his story. If you want to contact Yudas his contact details are at the bottom of this article.
