Celebrate Moringa – Day 12
Papua New Guinea, in the southwestern Pacific, encompasses the eastern half of New Guinea and its offshore islands.
A country of immense cultural and biological diversity, it’s known for its beaches and coral reefs. Inland are active volcanoes, granite Mt. Wilhelm, dense rainforest and hiking routes like the Kokoda Trail. There are also traditional tribal villages, many with their own languages
Today we meet Retired Rev Hoge Rabura who resides in Port Moresby on the Island. He has a strong relationship with Africa Moringa Hub because of his love for and desire to learn more about moringa.
Since he started, he has wonderful stories to tell about the impact Moringa has had among the island people. Their moringa social enterprise is called Romote Moringa Products, and their principles are care, love and skills in the soil to teach about life.

My name is Hoge Rabura, a retired minister with the Uniting Church in Port Morseby.
Our Moringa Story
We are thankful to God for Moringa, which is increasing in popularity in Port Moresby. We ourselves are testimony to its popularity in our community and it is expanding out.
The demand is out there, it only requires very good promotion, like doing more growing and production of the common Moringa Benefits like soap, leaf powder blended with coconut oil, powder, seeds, tea.
We can do more but we cannot because seeking Government and Other funding to buy better and bigger machines is a struggle for us. We continue to move on with one little grinder, a few wire gauge strainers, a flat tin for sun-dried leaves, which is all we can work on now.
We as a family have plans to move the love of Moringa and despite how we are now, nothing will stop us.
The impact on Moringa has been very good with testimonies to the Moringa products we make now. We believe if we happen to find a donor by February 2022, we are able to create a big surprise for the people of Papua New Guinea and Pacific Island nations.
We love Moringa and believe that Moringa can create a big impact on the lives of our people. The rural area people of Papua New Guinea must know about Moringa and its benefits, not only in health aspects but in animal feed, water purification, fertiliser, etc.
I love Moringa… As you will see in this video, it has become part of my retired life.
